How I can help ?
I have qualifications in Counselling, Cognitive behavioural psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, coaching and occupational and organisational psychology and so am able to work with you to help you achieve your goals using one or more of the following approaches :
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive behavioural therapy is a form of psychotherapy that helps individuals examine their thought processes and responses to situations with a view to considering alternative more helpful interpretations.
A coach supports people in achieving a personal or professional goal. You may have already identified what you would like to change and the outcomes you want. Or you may just have a feeling that that something isn’t right but need help to identify what’s not working and how to change this. read more here
Counselling provides a safe and confidential environment in which you can talk about and explore difficult feelings and the events or situations that may underpin them. It can be a relief in itself to get things off your chest and by gaining a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes you can identify solutions to problems. read more here
Hypnotic states occur naturally for most people when assisted by a skilled therapist. Clinical hypnosis has been used in therapy since the 1800s. And we know that many people find it easier to change unhelpful thought processes and behaviours with the assistance of hypnosis. You can read more here
Many of us have completed psychometric tests when applying for jobs and these are often used by employers to evaluate different abilities or personality traits in potential employees. Such tests are very different from the typical questionnaires that we might complete in magazines that profess to tell us, for example, what type of personality we are. Legitimate psychometric tests are scientifically verified to be accurate and reliable measures of abilities or traits and should be administered and interpreted by appropriately qualified people. For individuals who are unsatisfied with their careers or thinking of making a change psychometric testing can provide them with greater insight into their values, aptitudes and personality traits that might make them particularly suited to specific careers.
